1g repair bills... Next raid - Sat, Feb 27th - The Rift

I'm at 100 radiance, so I'll be one of the people who needs SH/SG runs so that hopefully I can do BG one day. I believe I have about 17 medallions toward my next piece at the moment. My RK is at 45 radiance, so she'd need some work too if more dps is needed for DN.

We've been starting the raids between about 8 - 9 pm est - so that's when i would expect Von to start it - but since I've nominated him to handle the run (if he's going to be around), I'll let him handle those decisions for this weekend. :P

As for the weekend following, glad you'll theoretically be around. Even if you are just there in theory, you are probably worth more than Elavorn in reality. ;)

Got the internet working at the house over lunch. Hopefully it will stay working for good, but being Jakarta, I don't hold out too much hope.

in any case it looks like I'll be on this weekend and while I know hardly anything about the turtle, generally having boycotted it as a stupid raid, I'd be up for going along. What's the time etc??

Sword Halls Hard Mode is even better, only takes 10 minutes, unless you die. I'd love to try it on my Burglar with like a Champ and Mini/RK. With BRG/GRD/MIN I saw too little DPS. Partly that is because I'm not QK traited, which I may swap in some QK. But, farming SH HM for a variety of people would be harder to set up. RK/WDN/DPS works well btw.

Theoretically I'm good for runs all weekends up to April 17/18 and 24/25 and can bring RK at 115rad or BRG at 65rad (currently, I think)

So the turtle raids have gone well for two weeks running now. The Tuesday/Saturday split seems to work for a lot of people and we got down to only needing to grab two people from IC this week on both Saturday (well technically Sunday due to the fact that we full cleared the rift) and Tuesday.

With me being gone on Saturday (and Tuesday), anyone want to take up the responsibility of trying to organize the turtle run on March 6th and then the following Tuesday March 9th? I'm thinking Vonabar - if you are going to be around - you can do this that way we don't break our little cycle going (since I think its going to work out well if we can keep on keeping on with it).

As for the following Saturday, March 13th. It's still a toss up for either Vile Maw or Dar Narbugud... I'll be posting up a thread about that weeks raid before I leave out of town on Thursday evening.

Remember - if you are wanting to come that weekend - radiance levels for the Vile Maw needs to be at least 55 radiance, for Dar Narbugud 65 radiance...






As a side note, we should also probably start running some sword halls ad nauseum for radiance interested people.

3 Medallions for a 20 minute rune isn't too bad - and just a couple of the mirk pieces + a couple of the Moria pieces will put you at enough radiance for DN...




As for BG - we've been talking a lot in kin about getting into BG, and I'm wondering if it would be nice to take a look at setting a specific weekend deadline as for when would be a good 'target' for when we should get into BG.

I'm open for suggestions, but I'm thinking that if we can get 12 people committed to the run we should be able to get in there really, really quickly.

We already have a little over half a raid at 115 radiance (which is what's needed for BG), so if we can just make an encouraging nudge for a few others we should be able to get in there pretty quickly. Just a thought at least.

what is up with your connection?? I mean, I live in Indonesia and I can do 12 man raid. I went in Helegrod one time too and then had to bail on the 2nd attempt to kill the dragon because I had to go to the airport

is NZ that much worse than Indo? Is there not a trunk line across the Pacific to LA or something? If you have to route through Oz, I guess that would suck

Don't mind me, I'm just jealous. I can't even do a 6 man Skirmish due to lag. I could measure a 24 man raid in single digit frames per minute

Thank you for everyone who came to the run tonight. We had 7 people who had never been to the rift before, so it was a new experience for the vast majority of the raid (especially since for a lot of the group this was their first 12 man raid in lotro - not just first time in the rift). We had some learning curves to get through, but after a lot of toil and sweat and DFs, we ended up clearing the entire rift. Congrats everyone.

Even if we had a full raid at 65 (which we didn't) this raid still wipes groups (especially the Balrog fight), as its more of a telling of how well you can work together and move and avoid the specific events than a question of sheer brute forcing your way through. Hopefully everyone's repair bills weren't too bad, and congrats to arch who got a new set of armor for himself that he can proudly wear (and then turn into a cosmetic once he gets a few more levels). :P

No action shots because I didn't want to cause any stuttering, but I tried to get a few shots of each of the locales on our way back out.

Thank you to Layora, Ceo, Valdir, Shaywyn, Slydini, Sappra, and Archippus for coming along - and also thank you to Elavorn/Sevita/Poli/Draesal/and Wald for coming even though you guys had already been through a lot of it before. (Also thank you for Gil, Avwyn, Might, and Vonabar for volunteering to come along in case we needed replacements).




We didn't get the turtle done tonight - so maybe Sunday night we can knock out a quick turtle before locks reset on it so we'll still be open for a Tuesday night run.


As a reminder, I'll be out the weekend of March 5th thu around Wednesday or so... We are going to be going into either DN or Vile Maw on the weekend of March 13th, so be ready for it.

If you guys have a preference either way (for which one you want to go into) let me know. We'll work it out with whatever group we can. There will be a quick Turtle run before that instance on March 13th. Hopefully everyone will be up for a quick turtle run on 6th as well when I'm gone so that we can get that cycle going.

I may start setting up a new thread for each individual raid weekend, because Sappra has advised me that he thinks i talk too much and have already wasted 8 pages of his time. :P
